Rt.Honourable Otah Emmanuel Ejimchimaba has been suspended as HESSA president yesterday
by HESSA house of Assembly .This is due to petitions for Gross misconduct leveled against him by five members of HESSA Excos and eight memebers of HESSA house of representatives.
The allegations contained in the petitions are:
1. Illegal collection of HESSA dues from second year students.
2. Monopolization of the money assigned to fund raising committee.
3. Unable to disclose the account statement of the association to his Excos.
4. Violation of article 13 of HESSA consitution in the last SUG Election which demands that as the
president you should be able to surbordinate personal interest for the association interest.
5. Sourcing of funds without ratification from the HESSA HOA as stated in article 9 section.
6. Use of forged faculty clearance form imitating that issued by faculty officer.
As a result of this,the HESSA Vice president Egbo Chioma was sworn in yesterday as acting president of HESSA .And also a committee was setup to look into the allegations leveled against Mr. president (Rt.honourable Otah Emmanuel) by HESSA HOA.
